Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine all the dry rub ingredients, then coat the beef brisket with this rub. Allow to rest for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In the slow cooker, add garlic, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, and other spices. Stir well and nestle the brisket into the mixture.
  3. Set the slow cooker to low and cook for 8 to 10 hours until fork-tender.
  4. Transfer the brisket to a large tray, reserving the cooking liquid. Let the brisket rest.
  5. Pour the reserved cooking liquid into a saucepan, bring it to a gentle boil, and simmer until it thickens.
  6. Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). Drizzle olive oil over the brisket and roast it for 15 minutes, basting it with reduced sauce.
  7. Return the brisket to the oven for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until edges are crisp.
