  • 1 packet taco seasoning store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups cooked rice brown rice or cauliflower rice can be used
For the Cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Monterey Jack or vegan cheese can also be used
  • 1 cup nacho cheese sauce pre-made or homemade
For the Wrap
  • 4 large flour tortillas whole wheat or corn tortillas as alternatives
For the Topping
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Greek yogurt is a healthy substitute
  • optional add-ins pico de gallo, guacamole, jalapeños, lettuce, or tomatoes

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. In a large skillet, heat over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the cooked beef and add water according to the seasoning packet instructions. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  3. Warm the cooked rice in a microwave-safe dish for about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Take a large flour tortilla, layer with seasoned beef, warm rice, shredded cheddar cheese, nacho cheese sauce, and sour cream.
  5. Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top.
  6. Optional: Heat a skillet and toast the wrapped burrito seam-side down for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Let the burrito cool slightly, cut in half, and serve with optional toppings.
