  • 1/2 cup ketchup Barbecue sauce can be used as a swap.
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced) Garlic powder works in a pinch.
For Thickening
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch Can use arrowroot powder as a substitute.
  • 1/4 cup water For slurry.

Directions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, and minced garlic. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Place chicken in a single layer at the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring thorough coating.
  4. Cover and set the crockpot to cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, carefully remove the chicken and set aside.
  6. Mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry and pour it into the remaining sauce in the crockpot.
  7. Switch the crockpot to HIGH and cook the sauce for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  8. Return chicken to the pot and coat in the thickened sauce before serving.
