Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan, lining it with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and ½ teaspoon of salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ½ cup of melted unsalted butter, ¼ cup of vegetable oil, and ¾ cup of granulated sugar, whisking until well blended.
- Add 2 large eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the wet mixture, continue whisking until smooth.
- Fold in 1 ½ cups of mashed ripe bananas into the wet mixture until fully incorporated.
- Gently add your dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined.
- Fold in 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips carefully with a spatula.
- Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, until a skewer comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
Using very ripe bananas with brown spots enhances sweetness and moisture. Overmixing can lead to a dense loaf, so mix gently. Customize with nuts, spices, or different chocolate types as desired.
