- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash about three ripe bananas until smooth.
- Stir in ⅓ cup of melted butter, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 beaten egg into the mashed bananas.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 teaspoon of baking soda, a pinch of salt, and 1½ cups of flour.
- Combine the dry mixture into the wet banana mixture, folding gently until just combined.
- Stir in ¾ cup of sugar and then fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan, smoothing the top.
- Bake for approximately 65 minutes, checking for doneness.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
