  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 teaspoon of baking soda, a pinch of salt, and 1½ cups of flour.
  5. Combine the dry mixture into the wet banana mixture, folding gently until just combined.
  6. Stir in ¾ cup of sugar and then fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  8. Bake for approximately 65 minutes, checking for doneness.
