Preparation Steps
  1. Begin by slicing your flank steak thinly against the grain to ensure tender bites.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and freshly grated ginger until well-blended.
  3. Place the sliced flank steak evenly in the bottom of your slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over the beef.
  4. Cover your slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 3 hours or on high for 1.5 hours.
  5. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with cold water to create a slurry and add during the last 30 minutes.
  6. Once cooked, sprinkle chopped green onions over the beef before serving over rice or noodles.
