Burger Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, finely chopped yellow onion, minced jalapeño, honey, smoked paprika, thyme, cumin, and salt. Mix thoroughly for about 2 minutes.
- Form the turkey mixture into 3 or 4 patties, about ¾ inch thick, with a slight indent in the center.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil, and cook the patties for about 5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
- Prepare the avocado crema by blending avocado, cilantro, sour cream, lime juice, and a pinch of salt until smooth and creamy.
- Toast the hamburger buns cut side down in the remaining oil for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading avocado crema on the bottom bun, adding a turkey patty, and topping with corn salsa, then cover with the top bun.
