Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine active dry yeast with half of the warm water and let it foam for 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted unsalted butter, granulated sugar, kosher salt, and the remaining water.
- Once the yeast is frothy, stir in the egg yolk and the yeast mixture before gradually incorporating all-purpose flour until just combined.
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter, ensuring every corner is covered.
- Transfer the dough into the prepared dish and spread it evenly to fit the pan. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise for 15 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F during the rising time.
- After rising, remove the plastic wrap and brush the top with melted butter. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly, then add garlic salt and dried oregano.
- Place in the oven and bake for 28-31 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes before cutting into strips.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes
For best results, ensure water is at the right temperature to activate the yeast and do not overmix the dough.
