Ingredients
  

For the Burger Patties

  • 2 tbsp Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce Adjust according to spice tolerance.
  • 2 tbsp Adobo Sauce
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Lime Juice Fresh is best.
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs (or Panko) Panko for extra crunch.
  • 1 large Egg Acts as a binding agent.
For the Chipotle Mayo
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Greek yogurt can be a lighter substitute.
  • 1 tbsp Extra Chipotle Pepper For added heat.
  • 1 tbsp Additional Lime Juice
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
For Assembling Burgers
  • 4 pieces Burger Buns Toast before assembling.
  • 1 cup Crisp Lettuce
  • 1 cup Sliced Tomato
  • 1/2 cup Sliced Onion
  • 1/4 cup Sliced Jalapeños Optional for extra spice.

Prepare Chicken Patties
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken with chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, smoked paprika, ground cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, lime juice, breadcrumbs, and egg. Mix until just combined.
Shape Patties
  1. Divide the mixture into four portions and form each into a patty.
Cook Patties
  1. Preheat grill or skillet to medium heat. Cook patties for 5-7 minutes each side, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Make Chipotle Mayo
  1. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, chopped chipotle, lime juice, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Assemble Burgers
  1. Toast burger buns and spread chipotle mayo on the bottom. Add lettuce, chicken patty, tomato, onion, jalapeños, and top with the bun.
