Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Make Strawberry Syrup: Wash and slice 2 cups of fresh strawberries. In a medium saucepan, combine the strawberries with 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water. Cook over medium heat for 30 minutes until thickened. Strain and cool.
  2. Brew the Tea: Boil 2 cups of water. Steep 3-4 black tea bags for 5 minutes, then remove tea bags and stir in 1/4 cup of sugar until dissolved. Let it cool.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Pour the cooled strawberry syrup into a large pitcher. Add the cooled brewed tea and 2 cups of cold water. Squeeze in the juice of one lemon and stir well.
  4. Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the iced tea over. Garnish with mint leaves and strawberry slices if desired.
