Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan.
  2. Combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and ½ teaspoon of salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Cream together ¾ cup of sugar and 2 large eggs until pale and fluffy, then mix in ½ cup of milk and 1 teaspoon of almond extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in 1 cup of diced fresh peaches and optional chopped nuts or berries.
