Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Make the Spice Rub by combining all ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Remove the membrane from the ribs and rub half of the spice mixture over them.
  3. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (110°C) and smoke the ribs for 2 hours.
  4. Wrap the ribs in foil and continue smoking for an additional 1.5 hours.
  5. Brush BBQ sauce over the ribs and smoke for another 45 minutes to an hour.
  6. For the oven method, preheat to 300°F (150°C) and wrap the ribs in foil, baking for 2 hours.
  7. Broil the ribs for 10 minutes after coating with BBQ sauce.
  8. Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
