Dough Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, instant yeast, and honey. Let the mixture sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add beaten eggs, all-purpose flour, and salt. Stir until combined, then knead in softened butter for 4-5 minutes until smooth and slightly sticky.
First Rise
  1. Transfer kneaded dough to a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour at room temperature.
Prepare Filling
  1. Mix softened butter, minced garlic, grated parmesan, chopped basil, thyme, and sage in a small bowl until well combined.
Shape the Bread
  1. Punch down risen dough and roll into a 12x18 inch rectangle. Spread the garlic herb butter mixture over the dough.
  2. Roll the dough tightly into a log, slice it lengthwise, twist the halves together, and shape into an S.
Second Rise

Notes

For best results, use warm milk to activate yeast properly. Allow enough time for dough to rise for fluffiness. Customize with different herbs or cheeses for a unique flavor.
