Step-by-Step Instructions
- Start by chopping the cocktail onions into smaller pieces and setting them aside. Ensure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature.
- In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the panko breadcrumbs along with onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika. Stir frequently for about 5 minutes, until golden brown and fragrant. Remove half for topping later.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, ketchup, and granulated sugar. Blend until smooth using an electric hand mixer, about 2-3 minutes. Fold in the chopped cocktail onions and remaining seasonings.
- Transfer the dip mixture into a serving bowl, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle reserved toasted breadcrumbs on top and finish with a sprinkle of dried parsley.
- Serve immediately with an array of chips, crackers, and vegetable sticks. Refrigerate if not serving right away.

Notes
For best texture and taste, serve the dip right after preparation. Add breadcrumbs just before serving to keep them crisp.
