Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the fresh corn kernels, creamed corn, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, honey, and melted unsalted butter. Stir until well-mixed and creamy.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Carefully add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  5. Gently fold in the beaten eggs to the combined mixture until just combined.
  6. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish and pour the corn mixture into it, spreading evenly with a spatula.
  7. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
  8. Remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
