Dough Preparation
- Dissolve the yeast in half of the warm water and let it foam for about 5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, salt, remaining water, and egg yolk.
- Stir in the foamy yeast mixture, then gradually add flour until a cohesive dough forms.
Resting Dough
- Grease a baking dish with melted butter. Spread the dough evenly and cover with plastic wrap.
- Let it rise for approximately 15 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F.
Baking Cheese Sticks
- Remove the wrap, brush dough with remaining butter, and top with mozzarella, Parmesan, and garlic salt.
- Bake for 28-31 minutes until cheese is bubbly and edges are golden brown.
Cooling and Serving
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes before slicing into 8 pieces.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
