- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil or non-stick spray.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until onion is translucent.
- Transfer the beef mixture into the greased baking dish. Layer thinly sliced potatoes over the beef. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika.
- Sprinkle cheddar and parmesan cheese over the potatoes. Pour beef broth around the edges. Drizzle with milk if desired.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
