Preparation
- Rinse and hull strawberries. Slice into halves or quarters and mix with sugar. Let sit for 30 minutes.
- Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add milk gradually.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Drop dough onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and fluffy. Cool on wire rack.
- Whip heavy cream with vanilla until soft peaks form, about 3-5 minutes.
