For the Decoration
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting Essential for decorating the brownies
  • 1 cup chocolate chips and candies Used to create Chewbacca's facial features for decoration

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Large mixing bowl
  • spatula
  • Piping bag
  • 8x8-inch square baking dish

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt ½ cup of unsalted butter along with 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and cool slightly for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm chocolate mixture with 1 cup of granulated sugar. Whisk in 2 large eggs one at a time, then stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together ½ cup of all-purpose flour, ⅓ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and ¼ teaspoon of salt. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8-inch baking dish by greasing it and lining the bottom with parchment paper.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared dish and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick inserted in the center.
  6. Once baked, let the brownies cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 15 minutes before frosting.
  7. Use a piping bag filled with chocolate frosting to create wavy fur patterns on top of the brownies. Decorate with chocolate chips and candies for facial features.
