Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease three 12-count mini muffin pans.
  2. Combine Devil's Food Cake Mix, large eggs, vegetable oil, and optional black food coloring in a mixing bowl and mix until smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Scoop about a tablespoon of dough into each compartment of the muffin pans and bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are set.
  4. Press an indentation in each warm cookie with a teaspoon and cool in the pans for about 5 minutes.
  5. Beat softened unsalted butter until creamy, then add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and milk until smooth. Adjust milk as necessary and mix in green food coloring.
  6. Fill each cookie cup with the green buttercream using a piping bag or spoon.
  7. Decorate with sprinkles, candy eyeballs, and pretzel sticks to complete your spooky cookies.
