Ingredients

For the Dough
  • 1 packet Instant Yeast Helps the dough rise; store in a cool, dry place or refrigerate after opening.
  • 1 cup Warm Water Activates the yeast; ensure it’s warm but not hot to avoid killing it.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Adds moisture to the crust; can be substituted with vegetable oil if needed.
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar Encourages yeast activity and adds slight sweetness; brown sugar works as a good alternative.
  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour The base for the dough structure; try gluten-free flour as a swap, but expect varied results.
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped Fresh Dill Infuses a bright flavor that complements pickles; dried dill can also be used but lacks vibrancy.
For the Garlic White Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Creates a rich, smooth garlic sauce; use unsalted for better flavor control.
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic Provides aromatic depth; fresh garlic yields the best flavor, but garlic powder is an option.
  • 2 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour (for roux) Thickens the sauce; cook briefly to eliminate any raw taste.
  • 1 cup Milk Forms the creamy base; any milk or non-dairy alternative can work.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning Enhances overall flavor; substitute with dried oregano and basil if necessary.
  • to taste Salt and Pepper Essential for taste enhancement; adjust according to your personal preference.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Adds richness; for a vegan option, use nutritional yeast instead.
For Toppings
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Provides that classic stretchy pizza texture; swap for a dairy-free blend if needed.
  • 1 cup Dill Pickle Slices Give the pizza its signature tangy flavor; make sure to pat them dry to prevent sogginess.
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream Forms part of the zesty garlic sauce; Greek yogurt can be a healthier substitute.
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise Adds creaminess to the sauce; can be omitted or replaced with extra sour cream.
  • 1 tablespoon Dill Pickle Juice Offers a tangy kick; fresh dill can be substituted or omitted if not available.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Dill (for garnish) Adds freshness and visual appeal; parsley can be a nice alternative.
  • to taste Crushed Red Pepper Provides a hint of spice; feel free to adjust or omit based on heat preference.

  • Medium saucepan
  • Oven

Method

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine instant yeast and warm water, letting it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.
  3. Add olive oil, sugar, salt, all-purpose flour, and chopped fresh dill to the activated yeast. Stir until it forms a cohesive dough and knead for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
  5. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in all-purpose flour, then slowly pour in milk while stirring continuously.
  6. Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and melted Parmesan cheese, cooking just long enough to combine the flavors.
  7. Punch down the dough gently, then roll it out into a 12-inch circle on a floured surface and transfer it onto a pizza pan.
  8. Spread the creamy garlic white sauce evenly over the dough, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  9. Evenly arrange the dill pickle slices over the cheese, ensuring they are patted dry beforehand.
  10. Bake for 15–20 minutes, looking for the cheese to melt and the crust to turn golden brown.
  11. While the pizza is baking, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, minced garlic, dill pickle juice, and fresh dill in a small bowl to create a garlic-dill sauce.
  12. Once done, optionally sprinkle with crushed red pepper, drizzle the garlic sauce over the top, slice, and serve.
