Preparation Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, combine your creamy dressing ingredients with seasonings. Whisk until smooth and let meld for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Thinly slice the red onion and soak in cold water for 10-15 minutes to mellow its sharpness. Drain well before adding to salad.
  3. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil, add pasta, and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  4. Halve the English cucumber lengthwise, scoop out seeds, and cut into thin half-moon slices.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooled pasta, soaked red onion, and cucumber slices. Add any additional ingredients if desired.
  6. Pour the prepared dressing over the salad mixture and gently toss to coat all ingredients evenly.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
