Step-by-Step Instructions for Cucumber Sandwiches
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream or mayonnaise, dill, and kosher salt. Whisk until smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes.
  2. Spread the creamy dill mixture onto one side of each slice of bread evenly, covering the edges.
  3. Rinse the cucumber and slice thinly, about 1/8 inch thick. Lay cucumber slices on half of the spread-covered bread, overlapping them slightly.
  4. Place the other slices of bread spread side down on top of the cucumbers and gently press to combine the layers.
  5. Trim off the crusts with a serrated knife and cut each sandwich into smaller shapes for serving.
