  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese softened
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese or pepper jack for extra heat
  • 2-3 Diced Jalapeños adjust for heat preference
  • 0.5 cup Cooked Bacon optional, crumbled
Egg Rolls
  • 10 Egg Roll Wrappers store-bought
Cooking Essentials
  • as needed cups Oil for Frying about 2-3 inches deep

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and diced jalapeños. Add cooked bacon if using, and mix until smooth.
  2. Lay an egg roll wrapper flat, spoon 2 tablespoons of filling into the center, fold and roll tightly, sealing edges with water.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C), checking with a thermometer.
  4. Carefully add 3-4 egg rolls to the hot oil, frying for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Remove egg rolls with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  6. Serve hot with dipping sauces.
