  • 1 pound Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup Flour for dredging
For Cooking
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
For the Sauce
  • 8 ounces Cremini mushrooms
  • 1 medium Yellow onion
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Chicken broth preferably low sodium
  • 1 cup Sour cream full-fat preferred

Preparation and Cooking
  1. Cut the chicken breasts into 1-inch pieces and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for about 3 minutes on each side until browned.
  3. Reduce heat to medium, add butter, and sauté mushrooms and onions for 6–8 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic. Cook for an additional minute.
  5. Pour in chicken broth, scrape any browned bits, and return the chicken to the pan. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat, add sour cream, and stir until warmed through. Adjust seasoning if desired.
  7. Serve over egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes.
