For the Salad
  • 4 cups Broccoli florets Bite-sized, bright green.
  • 6 slices Bacon Cook until crispy and crumbled.
  • 1 cup Dried Cranberries Use Ocean Spray Craisins for best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Red Onion Finely diced.
  • 1/2 cup Sunflower Seeds Add just before serving.
For the Dressing
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise Hellmann's recommended.
  • 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse broccoli under cold water. Cut into bite-sized florets and finely dice the red onion.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, and mustard until smooth.
  3. Combine broccoli and onion in a mixing bowl. Add cranberries, sunflower seeds, and bacon, then gently fold.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
