Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a foil-lined baking sheet.
  2. Season the chicken thighs generously with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. In a large skillet, heat 1-2 tablespoons of oil and brown the chicken thighs skin-side down for about 5 minutes.
  4. Transfer the browned thighs to the baking sheet, skin-side up, and bake for approximately 20 minutes.
  5. Sauté the sliced white mushrooms in the same skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  6. Add chopped bacon to the skillet and cook until crispy, then stir in the heavy cream and dried thyme.
  7. Once baked, return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Let simmer briefly before serving.
