Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Boil and Mash Potatoes: Peel and cube potatoes, boil in salted water until fork-tender. Drain and mash until smooth.
  2. Mix in Cheese and Seasonings: Stir in half of the shredded cheese, salt and pepper until well combined.
  3. Combine Remaining Ingredients: Add chopped green onions and egg. Mix in remaining cheese.
  4. Form the Puff Bites: Shape potato mixture into balls the size of golf balls and place on a lined baking sheet.
  5. Coat with Breadcrumbs: Roll each puff in breadcrumbs until coated.
  6. Fry or Bake the Puff Bites: Fry in heated oil until golden brown or bake at 400°F (200°C) for about 20 minutes.
  7. Serve Warm: Serve with favorite dipping sauces once cooked and slightly cooled.
