Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry
  1. Begin by slicing the beef sirloin thinly against the grain to ensure tenderness.
  2. Rinse and chop the broccoli florets into bite-sized pieces, and then mince the garlic and fresh ginger.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and half of the minced ginger. Mix well and let it marinate for about 10 minutes.
  4. Heat a large skillet or wok over high heat, adding two tablespoons of vegetable oil.
  5. Carefully add the marinated beef to the skillet in a single layer. Stir-fry for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the beef turns brown and is just cooked through.
  6. In the same skillet, add the remaining ginger and minced garlic. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Toss in the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 3 minutes, or until they are bright green and tender-crisp.
  8. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and pour in the beef broth. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  9. Drizzle the sesame oil over the stir-fry and sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired. Mix well and serve immediately over rice or noodles.
