Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the cod fillets on a clean cutting board, drizzle them with olive oil, and sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper evenly over each fillet. Gently rub the seasonings into the fish.
- Transfer the seasoned cod fillets onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque throughout.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, then add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Slowly pour in heavy cream, stir in chopped parsley, dried oregano, and additional salt and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until smooth and creamy.
- Carefully remove the cod from the oven, place each fillet on serving plates, and generously drizzle the creamy garlic sauce over the top. Garnish with fresh lemon wedges and chopped parsley.

Notes
Taste and adjust the seasoning of the creamy garlic sauce before serving. A sprinkle of fresh parsley and lemon wedges elevates both presentation and taste.
